We transform raw ingredients into nutritious, delicious, restaurant quality meals, focusing on hot lunches.
We partner with local charities to provide a weekly service to complementing ancillary services.
We envision communities forged through relationships based on mutual aid and cooperation. We use donations and the distribution of free items as a catalyst for change and to demonstrate what can be done when communities work together.
What started as a few sack lunches under the umbrella of the non profit Lov Movement has grown into a weekly hot lunch service that provides between 100 and 150 hot meals per week on a small budget of $100. Chef Cari Golden has been serving up hot, delicious meals to the unhoused population of Skid Row in Los Angeles since October of 2020.
Cari Golden is a graduate of LATTC Culinary Arts program. Golden created LOV Kitchen as a means of contributing to the community while keeping her skills sharp during the Covid pandemic. She has partnered with LOV Movement, another LA based non profit, to bring the weekly hot lunch meal service to the unhoused of Skid Row, in DTLA.
Golden has spent most of her life as a professional musician and songwriter, notably in the genre of electronic dance music. She is also an accomplished vocal coach and performer.
Felicia Spivak-Carter is a native Angeleno, who loves her hometown. After graduating from San Diego State University with a degree in Accounting she has worked continuously in the industry since 2001. She has always been passionate about quietly giving her support to causes she believes in and lovkitchen is no exception.
When Felicia isn’t at work you can find her at LA sporting events, museums, concerts, or traveling around the United States. She is the proud new mom to her fur baby Lola!
Hana Choe is a philanthropist, entrepreneur and investor most currently as co-owner of Culprit Recordings and Editor At Large and contributing writer for avant-garde Rogue Magazine among other ventures.
She is a passionate advocate for nutrition, health, the arts and a champion of animal rescue/rights that drives community change. She studied Communication Arts at Otis College of Art and Design.
